what about a short throw to the front, straight at their player? Can't sensibly argue there that it wasn't intentional - although IME most short throws don't make it 5m so get pinged accordingly.

I think that's the sort of thing that could be classed as intentional-- especially if the referee was standing at the back!

Curious how when we move to the back, they think we can't see it going short of 5m - "Ref, you couldn't possibly have seen how far it went from back there!" - "didn't need to, you stepped towards the thrower from the front - don't do it again please..."
