In the early 60's Yorkshire stopped in California on their way to Oz and played a select side of exiles.

If memory serves me, and it may be somewhat tinted, Freddie was only slightly sober by mid-afternoon, kept the wicket for an inning and opened the batting. After a steady rain of 4s and 6s from Freddie they retired early for the day.
