Browner, ask him to define "positive" play.

he will probably say that it is when a player is trying to do something that keeps his team moving forward, whilst negative is when the opposition try to prevent the opposition playing.

But stopping the opposition playing is what the game is all about, so long as they do it legally.

I don't care what level he is - positive play and negative play are illusions, they appear to be fashionable mantras among those who can't be arsed to think. You can tell him from me.
