If you can sneak out Games on at Windermere, Keswick, Ambleside at least. Enjoy your day!
Think you have one of my lot in Durham over in Keswick on exchange this Saturday.

I’ve got Gateshead vs Houghton a mid table L8, wasn’t expecting a game to be honest as pretty quiet but I’ll take it

We might need skis, or flippers depending on the temperature.

I was back last week but forgot to post.

That was Sheffield Tigers v Huddersfield in N2N

This week I am off South (West)

Loughborough Students v Exeter University in N2W - AR2

Other than its on an AGP I know nothing about either side. The only thing I do know is the Saturday sides of the respective Unis are NOT their BUCS SL teams so it is, give or take a few returners from injury or unavailabilities the 2nd Teams of both institutions.

Has cold most of the week so hoping I'll be full of vim and vigour come 14h00

I shall, once again, be at Anzac Oval for Devils vs Warriors.
Kick off is at 6pm, with an expected temperature of 38. For those still Imperial, that will be 100.

Update:
Game canceled.
And for long and boring reasons I won't go into (rugby politics in the NT) I'm expecting either a Code of Conduct or an almighty bollocking. Telling the CEO and President of the owning Union that "the responsibility for this shitshow is with you, not us." will have been well received.

Nowhere for the next few months. Fractured 5th metatarsal tonight out running. That’ll teach me to try to keep fit, Bugger!View attachment 4720
Nowhere for the foreseeable future! Just had an Appointment with specialist . 10 weeks in, still not healed! I wouldn't wish a "jones fracture" of the fifth metatarsal on anyone, very frustrating. Another 6 weeks like this then maybe on to the waiting list for an operation to pin it with six weeks in plaster after that followed by rehab! Hey ho, assessing/coaching/advising it is for now. On the up side, I have an Automatic so can drive.

Nasty fracturen, many sympathies! Was it an accident or a stress fracture?

Hope it clears up as soon as you can hope/expect!

This weekend.

N2N - Wharfedale v Tynedale - AR2

Also Game of the Day in Farmer's Weekly.

Never in the field of human conflict has so much tweed been worn in one place by so few.

I won't be able to get in the carpark for shit covered 4x4s

Usually a good day out and a picturesque ground. Hopefully the weather is good.

Then there's always the ex-England and B&I Lions player popping his head into the changing room to say thank you - "prize" for who that is.

Pre-season Junior 7s comp for me this Sunday.

First time with sternum tackle height for everyone.

27C (80F) and probably humid so suspect I'll need some cold beers afterwards.
