Few questions to English folk.

Where will the Rugby World Cup Final be held?
Twickers or Wembley? I'd presume Twickers.

Where will the Semi Finals be held?

All at Twickers, or one at Twickers, one at Millenium Stadium? Or one at Old Trafford even?

Thanks.

i suspect the usual political trade offs will need to be addressed - who voted for whom in the RWC vote will need to be "rewarded" or "punished".

I would be surprised if Cardiff doesn't host at least one SF.

Final at Twickers deffo.

i'd be surprised if one was in Cardiff or Murrayfield. IIRC it was an England only bid rather than a joint bid.

and both semis, according to that link...

it's what they did in 2003, so there's a precedent. having said that, Sydney in November has a slightly different to London.

► England won the bid, so why are matches being played in Wales?

► I hope they plan to do something about the quality of the playing surfaces at Millennium Stadium and Kingsholm!!

I don't know if they are committed to using all the stadiums they listed, but size must come into it. The biggest are Twickenham, Wembley, Old Trafford and Millennium so listing them was convincing evidence that they could cater for large crowds.

I doubt if the RFU have any say regarding the surface in Cardiff; Kingsholm is due for refurbishment anyway.

Wales isn't technically a country so I suppose the can use it.

(Cue torrid responses from the Welsh, he he)

would it be childish to point out that neither is Scotland?

Well, Wales is less of a country than Scotland, it was considered part of England when the Union was formed; hence no dragon on the Union Flag.

I cynically suspect some horsetrading - something like if Wales voted for England for the 2015 RWC then the RFU would ensure Wales got a good share of matches played in the principality i.e. ££££££££££££
