I didn't give 7 reds in a dozen seasons...

No youth games - Sundays are not for Rugby.

But even so, 7 Reds in a handful of games seems like a lot.

hover your cursor over the link and you will get the url on your status bar:
http://en.lmgtfy.com/?q=squirel+grips

Here is some background.
Who needs a smart buddy when you've got Google, the Internet MovieDatabase and (gulp) Wikipedia?
Exemplifying this is the site Let Me Google That For You:http://lmgtfy.com.
It describes itself as "for all those people that find it more convenient to bother you with their questions rather than google it for themselves."
It's a simple concept. Say a co-worker asks you what the capital of Vermont is. You might wonder how they missed third grade and sigh, "Montpelier, duh" (that is, if you still use decade-old slang — which, hopefully, you do).
Or you might be annoyed that your co-worker didn't use the same amount of time to google the answer on their computer. So if you want to be coy about expressing this annoyance, you can plug the question in on lmgtfy.com.
The site generates a link that can be passed on as the answer. Opening the link, the recipient finds a copy of Google's home page, sees a cursor slowly move to the search box and watches "capital of Vermont" typed, letter by letter.
The cursor then clicks on "Google search" and the question "Was that so hard?" pops up. Then the site bounces to the Google results for the search, yielding a few thousand resources with the answer.
Lmgtfy.com was created by Jim Garvin, co-founder of the Web application Cubenot, and software engineer Ryan McGeary.
If you suggest the site to a friend, though, be prepared that they will surely one day ask you: "What was that Web site that made fun of obvious questions again?"

(I googled this :bday: )

What Oli hasn't stated is that they ere all for the SH's not feeding the ball straight at the scrum, he took BCM's words too literally!

:Nerv:

I think everyone has a season where they become a bit to efficient with the red card, I know I did.

Oli,

7 reds and no yellows?

Any feedback from coaches?

No I have had yellows, mostly for repeat infringements in the 22s, I just don't take notice of the yellows.

I need am reassessing my goals for the season to include not going to the pocket too often and only doing it when I need to. A few of the yellows I have given out could've been avoided through more comms.

No 6 of the reds were for punches, 5 in one game thanks to a 20 man brawl. I took someones advice off here (can't remember who) but just stood back and made sure I watched it all to make sure I had the right numbers.

wow 5 reds in one game, that must be close to a record. But if they are stupid enough to want to fight, we must be smart and use our tools.

Add 1 to this stat. Another red today...

Both guys on feet, 1 guy kicks the other in the stomach area. Unbelievable.

I actually seem to have the other problem. Too many times last season I missed giving that early yellow and on at least 2 occasions went yellow instead of red. Need to look at that for next year I think.

In 2nd place. One of our A panel refs holds the record with 8 in one match, 3 of them for 2 yellows.

You guys sure you're at the right games?

Sounds more like a martial arts convention.

Are these teenagers or adults?

Under 16's for the 5 reds, it just seemed that at the end of the game they wanted to have a punch up. The game was played in pretty good spirit apart from 2 high tackles which were blown up and both offending players were spoken to.

what amazes me is that when you believe that it is time to get tight and proffer the yellow card, you sometimes get the coach shouting "ah,come on, ref .. it's rugby... not tiddlywinks ..."
