"Sometimes black can be a bit boring," Smith said at the launch this morning. "But they've made this jersey look primo."
"The normal black jersey is always exciting for Kiwis but for them to have a bit more thought behind it with the silver fern on it, it just makes it extra special."

"The gap between what athletes are wearing and high-end fashion design is getting so much closer," Ioane said.
"It's awesome having a fashion designer on board design the jersey, it looks a lot cooler and feels a lot better."

Looks like someone at Adidas is due for a promotion!

I'm not getting your argument here. The All Blacks shirt has had the Adidas logo over the right breast for almost 20 years

Lomu about to score in the the 2000 Sydney test.

Its only moved because the RWC logo has to go where the Adidas logo usually is.

If Adidas is not an official brand at RWC, that logo won't be there at all.

ETA: Quick Quiz (and NO Googling!)

Who is the touch judge at the right edge of the image?

Morrison?

Nope!

I'll give a clue (which might actually confound more than help)

His son is also a referee, and officiated at the recent World U20 tournament.

Kapland has a son, only I have no idea if he has taken up the whistle.
Since Andre Watson (RSA) was the man in the midlle, I can only imagine JK’s involvement was on the touchline.

Only problem is World Rugby U20 Championship 2019 Match Officials Appointments don’t bear that out.

Spoiler

Nope.

Chris White (England) was running the other touchline

(Note: I haven't googled any of this. I've got the whole match on video tape, with an intro by one of my favourite Aussie Commentators, Gordon Bray

So what are the rules for sponsor logos in the RWC ?
Is every team allowed one logo, to be placed centrally on the sternum ?

Can it be any sponsor , or only the kit sponsor ?

If it's the same as 2015, ironically my old friend Qantas won't be on the Wallabies jumper

Yes, you are probably right. Since they won’t be allowed wear it on match day inside any of the RWC stadiums.

[LAWS]Tournament rules don't allow the All Blacks main sponsor, AIG, featuring on the jersey.[/LAWS]

New Jersey revealed on Twitter:
What I don’t get is the light blue change strip has a big AIG logo across the middle.

Australia’s dark green with yellow looks way to similar to RSA’s traditional colours.
Springboks have gone with a white change strip, wtf?
Do teams deliberately try to create colour clashes?

Its not a change strip, its a training jersey. (see the bottom photo in Dickie's link in his OP)

Tournament rules allow individual sponsors logos on jerseys at training venues but not at match grounds

The All Blacks change strip is predominantly white

I will grant you, the NZ Herald article is a whole lot clearer about the jersys that the AB’s Twitter account.
Wouldn’t it make sense to display the change strip at the launch, at the same time as the other two jerseys?

Apart from the kit sponsor, right?

Who get the prime spot on the sternum
