So someone warned him off ;)

Simple espn didn't give the correct angles. At half time TMO had seen it all and if they had seen it in time was a RC.
Can only go off what the director shows. So from the explanation I believe they made the best decision on the info they had.

I'd love to see the "angle" the TMO saw.
It was wide on the screen and you could see Tim Payne's knee dropping on an opposition player most of it off screen. It was only from a handheld camera from behind it was shown as contact with a players face. The player was trapped under bodies and defenceless.

sorry, forgot to add the video I posted looks to be exactly the view that the TMO had. He took just 1 the slow-mo replay to make his mind up.
