Ended up doing Barnsley I/II v Rotherham Clifton I

This weekend no fixture due to BBQ/falling over into the shrubs type event - weather forecast looks ok at the moment :pepper:

Saturday afternoon Southam v Stoke Old Boys Trials.
Saturday evening rush up to RAF Cosford for a Defence School of Photography Centenary Dinner (Black Tie negative medals, which means the bloke who wrote the dress code hasn't got any ), stopping over Hic!
Sunday morning after my Full English Breakfast, back home to pick up Everitt Junior and take him to West Brom v Chelsea.
Sunday evening, feet up and relax.

Friday night, L6 v L5 pre-season match. I'll be reffing this one as a league game though, last Saturday was a chuffin nightmare, away side could have been down to 12 at one point, but as captains insisted on no cards  That won't be happening tomorrow night, sides and refs get very frustrated

I can understand agreeing no cards for technical offences, but surely you'd ALWAYS need to retain the power to card for foul play ... stamp on the head must always = leave the pitch.

The problem with "agreeing" for technical offences is that it can (and clearly did, here) escalate.

I've had a player who broke another player's neck yell at me to stop the game. He was no longer ball carrier and the putative tackler had extremely poor technique. Just for a very odd counterexample, there was no intent obviously.

They give medals for photography now? Black and white ribbon, I assume?

I'm off to York Friday night. An old friend of mine is playing for Penguins rugby on a tour and I'm rooming with him and maybe even getting a 10 minute cameo in an over 50s match.
Quite an itinerary planned for a "king penguin's" 70th birthday weekend tour.
Trip to Redcar Saturday.
Anyone around please give me a shout.
I'd never heard of this fine group until recently. Seems like it's going to be an interesting weekend!

Well mine are for 24 years of undetected crime.
Being there.
Being there while the bullets were flying.
Being somewhere else.
Being somewhere else again.

It would have been B&W in my day. Now it would be a digital ribbon!
