Good point Simon.

What if player in touch places downward pressure on a ball in the FoP ? Which is directly analogous.

But in-goal is 'analogous' from FOP in more ways that just intouch..

A tackle, ruck, maul or scrum does not/cease to exist in-goal. So things that look like that in FOP are not really that ingoal....ce la vie.

Quite frankly I like that you can be in touch to try or touchdown.

I know grammar policing is frowned upon, however this is more of a translation point.
Don’t you mean c’est la vie?

I agree with the sentiment, rugby is a thinking-man’s game. It’s cool having laws that make your average supporters scratch their heads. That’s a fine example, when a player who knows his laws can make the opposition sit up and take notice à la «*pay attention please!*»

I guess you cobbers have more Italians down under, than Frenchmen.
That’ll be something like «*questa è la vita!*» in Italian.

[LAWS]8.2 e
Segnare una meta – un giocatore in touche di meta che non sta portando il pallone
[/LAWS]
:holysheep: Hope that helps.
