'Walk Ten' option.

IF the 10m advancement could be changed, would you prefer?

A majority of 17 people out of the couple of thousand that are eligible to vote on it? Yes, if you like.

I don't think it means much.

Professional pollsters probably wouldn't agree with you, Robert.

However, now that this discussion is nearing the end I would remind you of my original query.

'What is the equitable equivalent for the 'walk ten' sanction when it's not a practical option?

From what I gathered from your comments the walk sanction lies between a warning and a PK particularly when it's not a practical option.

So, as it can't be adapted for use in all situations shouldn't the answer to my query be, scrap it?

You really disappoint me, Phil, I usually like to hang on to your every word. And my logic is so sound too. I would like to think that refs in general aren't so blinkered.

Professional pollsters probably wouldn't agree with you, Robert.

17 responses out of a panel of a couple of thousand shows almost a total lack of interest in the topic and therefore a resounding silence given to maintain the status quo.

Except the 9 (50%) who answered "To not change it and keep it as it is"

I will ask a professional pollster I know next time I see him and we have spare time to discuss this as a concept. He is CEO of IPSOS-MORI

No, OB, I would just appreciate refs' opinions regarding my query #1 which was side-tracked.

PS Happy 51th Birthday, Phil.
