I have a 370km round trip for this Sunday's game - not bad going for such a small country!

I have a journey of just 7 km, across West London
I would be sensible to allow 40 minutes

yeah... perhaps.
I cycle a lot but I'm loathe to cycle to referee a game - I have too much to carry with me.

I cycled to the Rugby-Rocks 10s but on that day my change of clothes was shorts and t-shirt, and it was warm so no tracksuit, no hoody, not rain jacket. travelling light. Still managed to lose my TJ flags which wormed their way out my bag on the way home.

I have the delights of a trip to Somerset this weekend.

Doing Bridgewater for their match against Bideford. Should be fun.

I drove the 18 miles from Canary Wharf to the Lensbury Club in significantly less than that, once.

My journeys this weekend will be about 10km each way.

Hooray at last.

I have my first L8 appointment of the season.

Yorkshire 2 - Roundhegians (Leeds) v West Leeds (also from Leeds )

Roundhegians have had their pitch relaid and apparently this is the first game on it. No more "Somme like" conditions in the far bottom corner - hooray!!

The last Y2 game I did (last Nov) was a West Leeds game before my back gave out (again) and the West Leeds game before that my calf gave out at half time - I should borrow Stephen Hawking's chair to referee in.

By all accounts (LLP telling me), he did well. No moans or gripes I've seen so far on the Yorkshire Rugby Forums.

Really pleased, deserves it after such a long lay off.

I have an 'unofficial' University trial match tommorow - effectively a Level 6 game. May also be repeating this on Friday! On a 3G Pitch... Any differences to expect regarding Scrums etc?

Then on Saturday I have my first adult match up here in Kirkby Lonsdale - L11. Looking forward to it!!
