I had a nice little Level 8 game...until the home team realised it was an away game :shrug:
Since the away team are in another county we lost the game to another Society.
Now waiting on reappointment's to find me something...anything...:knuppel2:

Been a quiet week for midweek cup games this week!

On the road this week, off to Suffolk.

Sudbury -v- Old Priorians.

Both sides are safe from relegation so let us hope for more of a running game than the reading of the match reports from the first meeting :sad:

It's a 20:00 KO. I've got to be up at 05:20 - I'm usually in my jim-jams at 20:00

This weekend I'm off to watch #2 son refereeing at Huddersfield v Fylde in N2N.

All my Fed appointments are finished now and with the Easter break I have no Society ones either so apart from the odd Midweek Cup fixture that's it for my 13th season as a referee.

Just the odd 7s and Olney (if they'll have me again?) to look forward to 'til next year. Oh and my son's wedding (apparently :biggrin - in Aug luckily.

Wednesday I am in the middle for Bedford Modern -v- Kirkwood Academy at Bedford Blues, and then 4th official for the annual Mobbs Memorial match (Army -v- Saints U20) also at Bedford Blues this year.

Saturday, last (regular) league match in East Mids 1:

Old Northamptonians (8th) -v- Oundle (5th)

ONs lost 46-17 last time they met.

West Hartlepool TDSOB vs Yarm.

Was a mid table DN3 (L9) fixture with no impact on the season but turns out is now also the semi final in the county cup (I had the opposing semi too) and am being assessed. Normally would be over the moon to be getting watched and these sort of games but kids struck me down with man flu so need to get that shifted :-(

Nothing on the game and I shall be arriving on the visiting teams bus!
Not many sports you could do that, and nobody really cares!

This weekend. Olney 7s - showing EMRURS how its done.

EMRURS and Olney are good hosts and I return for the 5th successive year.

Camping in a quiet spot by the river (if I can find one).

Weather looks great - not too hot but warm/sunny.

I recall a massive cloud burst a few years ago that stopped play for about 2 hours - biblical (except I didn't build an ark or get drunk and walk around naked).

Anyway look forward to it.
