Early confirmation

Back on the whistle this weekend.

L7 - Yorkshire 1

Dinnington v Beverley

Dinno are a wonderfully hospitable club who are struggling a bit. Beverley in top 5. Hopefully it won't be too windy otherwise it'll be lineouts on one side only.

This week, at home.
The week after, a non rugby weekend in Hobart, Tassie.
Then, maybe a rugby weekend.
Then two weeks in NZ.

Two games cancelled before Christmas, so no games for 4 weeks.
Overindulged during the holiday.
Spent the last week in bed with Flu.
Now for my first game back I am being assessed

That sounds like a great gig although I can't imagine what refereeing on the equator's going to be like for a "senior" match official. 🚑 💉 🩺🏥

L8 Gateshead vs Barnard Castle - mid-table clash, not expecting too much excitement, although I had the prior fixture this season and thanks to two idiots we had two reds, so hoping they allow me to avoid that

That is exactly the situation I am in this weekend. 2 weeks of frozen pitches before Xmas which means I have basically done nothing for the last 4-5 weeks, well ate a LOT. Have had head cold since the week before Xmas and it is still lingering. As for the assessor, I asked for one (before Xmas admittedly) and now I have one.

Should be fun and there is a boat load of rain due as well.

Similar here, two kids birthdays in the run up to Xmas means I've not had a game for a 5 weeks, I have a ladies game tonight though which I'm hoping will be just enough to get the blood pumping and back in the saddle before tomorrow

Well, game off and a few off at L 8, which is as low as it gets here, as clubs can't raise teams to travel! really sad state of affairs.. On the up side Upper Eden and Windermere have hastily arranged a game so I have a run out! (y)

Vexillological technician duties again today.

N2N

Sheffield Tigers v Otley

Tigers ground is on the edge of the Peak District and it's bloody freezing 363 days a year.

Flying to Pittsburgh for the regional club and referee AGMs - first time they're taking place in the same vicinity.

There might be fireworks when I read the Riot Act to representatives to particular clubs, but so be it.
