Watching Italy vs England. Blue winger 14 heading down right wing Marcus smith makes tackle then while on floor post tackle pulls him into touch, lineout England.
correct call? Tackle made should release right?
I am right that this is not a new law but has always been there. I recall it being applied in a England 6 nations game quite a few years ago, possibly 5 yrs.
In today’s Wales vs England game, Curry charged down a Welsh clearing kick and in the process fell to the ground. The ball looped up and while on the ground he caught it and passed it to another english player. Because he is on the ground is he not ‘out of the game’ until he regains his feet...
So watched on tv 2 games this weekend and so some questions re tackles with Leading shoulder.
1. Farrell in the Sarries vs Worcester. Looked like leading shoulder to head area, player was going down but Faz was upright. I think penalty awarded...
Is it still the case that a game can’t finish on a penalty? And that the team awarded such penalty can kick to touch and take the lineout even if time up?
If a player is already on the floor, on his knees as an example, can he still make a tackle in open play? I’ve seen a comment before that rugby is a game played on your feet but couldn’t find it in an online rule search.
Following a debate via twitter on what’s a ruck this season.
I’ve not followed this closely enough so could you all clarify what a ruck is this season, thanks.
Question a friend asked
Question on the laws of rugby. If a substitute runs on the pitch and joins a fight. Can the referee send him off and what happens to the team in terms of numbers??
Only link I have to this form Saturday

Thoughts? it was not slapped down but one hand and failed to catch it so foiling a certain try, crucial to game at that point.
Not a lot of support from tmo?
