On Sunday I shall be attending a sporting event within the capacity of a normal person's wallet. England v New Zealand at the KC Stadium.

More chance of beating NZ than their RU counterparts unfortunately. Hopefully the other Burgesses will perform better than Sam.

Whey hey!!!!!!:pepper:

Tom Burgess is awesome. Stuart Lancaster should sign him up for England RU!

This weekend I have a school match, one coach is an ex SH from Bath who I played alongside and the other is a former Eng fullback  I'm sure there will be plenty of advice.

Saturday - Midlands 3 West (South): Shipston on Stour v Pershore

Haven't been to Shipston for a while. Always a good welcome and always good grub.....they need to feed them farmer boys!

On Wednesday next week I am hoping to drive down to Cheltenham to pay my respects at Biggsy's funeral.

The joys of a home club fixture.

Crewe and Nantwich 4s v Whitchurch 4s.

Not a huge amount of love lost between them. Should be a fun one.

Windermere v Egremont L8 4th v 5th could be a mudbath which would ruin what promises to be a good game

Mudbaths are still good games -just covering less distance.

Check those calf muscles afterwards!

Last week Nigel Owens refereed Gowerton v Crymych in SWALEC Division 1 West.

Chris White refereed Cheltenham 2nd XV so that the appointed referee could play alongside his son.

Nice to see.

Yes. It was a friendly, the team was short, and Chris was happy to help out. (The Appointments Secretary was there as well, and he had no objections.)
