True, but when I lived in Washington I was struck by how people were proud of their Redskins. There was even a sort of Boy Scouts organisation based on Native American practices.Redskin is a derogatory racial slur, [...].
""Hail to the Chief" is the personal anthem of the President of the United States, composed by James Sanderson. The song's playing accompanies the appearance of the President of the United States at many public events, it is also played at inauguration ceremonies.[SUP][1][/SUP] For major official occasions, the United States Marine Band and other military ensembles are generally the performers, so directives of the United States Department of Defense have, since 1954, been the main basis for according it official status.[SUP][2][/SUP] It is preceded by four ruffles and flourishes when played for the President. The performer also noted a troubling aspect of Trump’s personality that is rarely touched on by the usual pundits: “I also never saw him show any enjoyment or understanding of music.”
A Chief is an English word stemming from the middle ages it derives from French / Italian origins stemming from "head". "Hail To the Chief" in the above context is "Hail to the Head of the USA". The context is totally different to the Exeter Chiefs, Who market the "red Injun" theme throughout.

The Chiefs have the endorsement of the local Iwi (loosely equivalent to "tribe") to use the name and the imagery. Their Haka was written by Derek Lardelli, the same artist who wrote "Kapo O' Pango"
They will not be sweating one drop!
