OK Chaps/esses Brian Moore has completed his ELRA course under Ed Turnill and will referee his first competitive match at Rosslyn Park under lights (Nomads v London Scottish XV) k/o 7.00-7.30. Lots of publicity/filming via Total Rugby and he has written an article in The Torygraph today...

3 of us from London are refereeing in Hungary next weekend, I have refereed a team called Fehervar in 10's before but no other experience. Anyone else been there?

Just interested in what tolerance levels you all have with regards to spectators? I know we are told to ignore and if we say something it creates a rod for our backs (I don't subscribe to this personally) etc. At what point would you intervene and ask him/her to be removed?

Over the weekend their were 4 Heineken Cup matches on television all refereed by members of the IRB Elite referees panel. In two of the matches the referees did not adhere to the New Scrum Engagement procedure in that they called Crouch, and then the Touch and Pause as one call. Both these...
